A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen

Prayer and Message from the Rector
Heavenly Father, hear us as we cry Hosannah to celebrate this Palm Sunday.
We give you thanks and praise as we remember Christ’s triumphal entry into
Jerusalem. We thank you for the gift of your son and that through his obedi-ence we receive your love and grace. AMEN
We have arrived at Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. We start with Jesus sending his disciples to untie a donkey so that he can ride into Jerusalem. The donkey was a symbol of peace for the people in that place and at that time. The warrior rode a horse but the humble and peaceful rode a donkey. As he rode into Jerusalem the people shouted Hosanna and laid palm branches and their cloaks on the ground for him to ride over. We now have Palm crosses to remind us of the triumphal entry and, which also remind us that Jesus is going to the Cross, to death and then the resurrection. This week is Holy Week and it would be good to see you at our Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services. Details are in this pew sheet. Blessings Richard
